May Stinar News 2023

FROM THE CEO

Hello Ground Support friends –

It seems like the year is about over and summer is not even here yet.  Here in Minnesota, we don’t anticipate spring until June.  About 5 years ago we received 18 inches of snow in our little community on May 2nd so no sense in getting the flip flops out TOO early.

I see this issue is about leaders in our Ground Support industry.  I would like to say congratulations to all current and past winners.  We here at Stinar are previous winners and honestly it is quite an honor.  Stinar has been in business for over 75 years and although we only acquired Stinar about 5 years ago, we were presented with the leadership award in year 4.  Remember the majority of the current Stinar team came from a completely different industry, and I have to say we have had to get up to speed quickly.  Even as a leader in the ground support world, we are still learning every day from the industry and our customers.

Recently, I was fortunate enough to have dinner with a current and future customer during the MRO show in Atlanta.  It’s amazing to me how leaders in all industries find their niche and make great things happen.

While talking with a ground service provider I learned how they clean and prep planes, but they don’t maintain or fix ground support equipment.  After running a beta test on this issue, they started outsourcing onsite maintenance teams for all their ground support equipment at hundreds of stations. This conversation gave me the perfect opportunity to share the Stinar story.

Stinar only supplies to one industry. We are not owned by a conglomerate with a vast array of companies in multiple industries.  We never lose focus on the customer, we support them. We supply quality equipment with the longest warranty in the industry.  Stinar’s niche is just that.  Building the best ground support equipment with the longest warranty in the industry.

So again, to all this year’s leaders, congratulations and enjoy the spotlight, you earned it.

Talk soon,
